Captain Kenneth James

Captain Kenneth James is the Recruiting Officer and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Science at Air Force ROTC Detachment 835, University of North Texas.  He is responsible for a large recruiting market spanning eleven universities across the Denton, Dallas, and Fort Worth metropolitan area.  As the Aerospace Science 100-level instructor, he also educates and inspires the next generation of Air and Space Force officers.

Capt James graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and received his commission as a Cyberspace Operations Officer through the university’s Air Force ROTC program.  He later received his Master of Science in Cyber Operations from the Air Force Institute of Technology.

Prior to his current position, the captain was the Flight Commander, Systems and Communications Operations, 805th Combat Training Squadron, Nellis AFB, NV.  In this position, he led 51 airmen, civilians, and contractors in operating and maintaining the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System Battle Lab’s $13.6M digital infrastructure.  His team integrated emerging industry capabilities with traditional DoD technology to advance Joint Staff and Headquarters AF objectives for Joint All-Domain Command and Control development.
