Welcome to Detachment 835 from University of North Texas. Our detachment serves the Dallas and north Texas areas. We have cadets from Midwestern State University, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas Dallas, and Texas Women's University. Our mission is to train college students to become the best Air Force officers possible to maintain the Air Force.

Why would you want to join AFROTC? There are many reasons! First, it is a great opportunity to learn how to become a leader and work with a team. Second, you can have the opportunity to compete for an AFROTC scholarship to help you pay for college. Third, the Air Force offers great pay and benefits to officers. 2nd Lieutenants start around $50,000 and immediately have 30 days vacation with pay!
