Air Force ROTC Detachment 835

Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp, Detachment 835 at the University of North Texas has been in existence 62 years, since 1949 with Lt. Col. Wilfred W. Wagner as the detachment’s first Professor of Aerospace Studies (formally known as Air Science and Tactics). Today, Detachment 835 has a strong university, communal, and academic presence through organizations such as: Rifle/Saber Teams, Honor Guard, Civil Air Patrol, and Arnold Air Society.  These organizations proudly represent Detachment 835 in a myriad of scholastic and formal events. 

With over 300+ officers commissioned to date…Detachment 835 continues to train, education, and commission outstanding Air Force officers.
